Seattle, Washington – Sit down at a new bar in West Seattle and play with paint. Or, talk to the paint bartender about the difficulty of choosing that perfect color for your home. It’s not a joke. The newest way to buy paint is to interact with it and the people selling it. The name of the venue is Kathy Banak’s Authentic Home COLOR Paint Bar located at 4151 California Ave SW.
The bar is warm and friendly with space at the bar to experiment with the paint of the day. Special paint squares adorn the wall and enable visitors to play with mixing and matching colors. The Authentic Home COLOR Paint™ Web site is also live at the bar for anyone who wants to learn more about Banak or the vision of her company, Authentic Home Ltd.
Interior designer, color consultant and principal of Authentic Home, Ltd., Banak is focused on creating a paint revolution for the color challenged who are tired of the frustration that results from trying to choose a paint color for their home or work space.
The new Authentic Home COLOR Paint Bar is designed to help people make choices quickly and easily, and with an authentic outcome. The limited palette and conceptual grouping makes choosing paint colors accessible and easy. According to Banak, once paint colors have been chosen, other decorating decisions come more naturally.
“Throughout my career as a designer, I have seen home designs fall in to place after the color is chosen,” added Banak. “Color always holds up the creative vision. So, when color choices are made, the creativity just flows.”
Reflecting her design philosophy of “less is more,” Banak designed the bar specifically with the female customer in mind.
With the launch of the new space, Banak is also adding some new features to her paint business: a new line of “green” (sustainable and zero VOC) paints and a next day delivery service within the Puget Sound region. Free delivery is available with each order of five gallons or more within King County. There is a fee for delivery outside of King County. In addition to gallon and quart sizes, the Authentic Home COLOR Paint™ is available in two ounce COLOR Cups. The paint is also sold online.
Authentic Home COLOR Paint™ is designed to evoke pleasing moods or feelings. There are 60 colors in three vignettes: Elegant, Playful and Serene. The paint is designed to be selected by the atmosphere desired for a space, whether residential or business. The COLOR Paint palette has depth in order to represent individual, authentic styles, but not so many choices that making a selection becomes overwhelming or frustrating.
