PRESS RELEASE: Authentic Home Brings Home "Best Places to Shop" Honors
March 10, 2005 For Immediate Release Contact: West Seattle, WA – Authentic Home, Ltd., a West Seattle interior design and color consultation firm, has been honored by Northwest Home + Garden Magazine as one of the "123 Best Places To Shop" in the Seattle area, in its March/April 2005 edition. Owner Kathleen Banak says she is, "truly thrilled" to have received one of the "Top Shop" awards. She believes that Authentic Home received the nod because its philosophy is quite unlike most traditional interior design firms. Instead of telling clients how they should decorate their homes according to a specific style or trend, the philosophy of Authentic Home is to give her clients "Interior Style Guidance" and let their own personalities, interests and lifestyles slowly dictate what the final look should be. Banak opened Authentic Home in 2003, after spending over twenty years (mainly on the east coast) as a marketing and account manager for several large high tech companies, including Microsoft. The West Seattle business is literally "housed" in a 1932 bungalow that has been refitted as a living showroom to highlight a wide variety of colors, fabrics and unique accessory pieces. Building on her solid successes, a growing roster of satisfied customers, and the professional camaraderie of associates Catherine DuBose and Stacey Riley, Banak hopes to grow her business by over 30% this year.
